Testimonials
Gracias Lori, for creating a memorable adventure in lovely Mexico. Rancho Poco a Poco is a jewel of a place that perfectly complemented the energy of your Yoga and Wellness Retreat. The resident cats and dogs roaming and lounging on the grounds were an added bonus. Chef Ricardo was eminently kind and accommodating and created incredibly tasty eats. Perhaps the greatest takeaway from my time at the Retreat can be summed up in one word, "belonging". The memories I have banked from the Retreat will fondly live in me for years to come. Lots of love, Ali
I came to Lori’s wellness retreat excited, expecting slow mornings, nourishing meals, and many good workouts but what unfolded was so much deeper than I could have imagined. The challenge with expectations is that they often trick us into thinking we know what’s coming. But real transformation begins in the unexpected, in the emotional, the uncomfortable, and the vulnerable moments. This retreat held space for all of that. It helped me uncover patterns in how I see myself, and how those perceptions ripple into my relationships with others. In addition, there was Lis, the calming yin to Lori’s vibrant yang. Together, they created such a powerful space for growth, reflection, connection and deep care. I leave this retreat feeling cracked open in the best way, more self-aware, more compassionate, and profoundly grateful. We are always evolving, and this experience reminded me that learning to love ourselves through the process is the real journey. What an incredible experience.
My experience far exceeded anything I could have imagined. I traveled to Sayulita not knowing any of the other women I’d be spending the week with. I also wouldn’t have called myself a yoga enthusiast before the trip. And yet, this retreat turned out to be one of the most meaningful and restorative experiences I’ve ever had. Lori and Lis created something truly special. Lori brought together a beautifully unique group of women, and the connections we formed over just a few days are ones I will always treasure. The accommodations were spectacular; comfortable, peaceful, and the perfect setting for unwinding and reconnecting with oneself. The food deserves a special mention. It was made with such care and love by a local family, and you could truly taste that in every bite. I’m not usually a foodie, but the meals became one of my favorite parts of the retreat, second only to the deep bonds that were formed. Every detail of the retreat was thoughtfully planned, from the personalized bracelets and blankets to the yoga mats. It was clear that Lori and Lis poured their hearts into creating not just a getaway, but a transformative experience. This retreat wasn’t just about yoga. It was about slowing down, remembering who we are beneath the noise of everyday life, and witnessing others do the same. We found strength and softness in each other, and in doing so, discovered how much more alike we are than different. I am deeply grateful for this experience. For the love that was infused into every moment, and for the connections that were made not just with others but with myself.
The retreat with Lori was truly a humbling and transformative experience. It struck a beautiful balance between personal reflection and meaningful group outings, allowing space for both solitude and connection. Lori and her team poured an incredible amount of thought, care, and intention into every single detail from the setting and schedule to the smallest touches that made each moment feel special and purposeful. One of the most powerful aspects of the retreat was the integration of philosophical teachings. The lessons shared were not only well-planned but also deeply relevant, encouraging us to explore ourselves with honesty and compassion. They offered insight, perspective, and gentle challenge in all the right ways, and the way these teachings were woven into the flow of the retreat showed true wisdom and experience. It was clear that every element had been crafted with love and dedication, and none of their hard work went unnoticed. I left feeling grounded, inspired, and incredibly grateful. I truly can’t wait to return next year and continue this journey
I've been thinking a lot about the retreat since we've been back. It's hard for me to put into words what the experience as a whole has done for me. I didn't realize how much I needed something like that. I find that I'm a more patient and connected parent and partner. My partner even said that I'm more like who I was "back then." It was the experience of connecting with myself again, with no pressure, no expectation, just the freedom and opportunity to be and explore. And I didn't even know I needed it! One of the survey questions asks what the most memorable part was. The simple answer, for me, was the temescal. However, that's too simplistic of an answer. On it's own, the temazcal wouldn't have been as memorable and meaningful. It was more about how you thoughtfully wove it into the entire theme of the retreat. It was the retreat as a whole, from the food (OMG amazing!), the ranch (stunning and peaceful), the flow of the itinerary (yin and yang - energetic times and wind downs), Lis (an amazing human), the temazcal (I was honoured to be able to experience it), and all the details from the mats and blankets down to the transportation, it was all the things that added up to the whole experience being what it was. I came back a renewed person, and I'm grateful to you for it.
Thank you for the thought and execution you put into every detail. You are a beautiful person, Lori.
It’s evident Lori, you put countless hours in, to ensure that we all had an amazing time. The extra details eg)the bracelets, the mats, the towels (and more)were a pleasant surprise and did not go unnoticed. I loved the delicious food created with love by the family team you selected. You and Liz rocked the Yoga practice and I’m (once again)so happy I experienced the time will everyone. There is so much behind the scenes for such an event to be a success. You knocked it out of the park!
The retreat had so much variety which was great. Work outs, yoga, new activities to get exposed. The organization was top notch, which allowed me to not have to focus on that aspect.
The warmth, love, kindness and inclusion from this retreat made me realize that although we are all different, we are all loved and supported by one another.
